During the Second World War and the 1956 Revolution, the demand for mental and spiritual liberty was becoming more and more apparent. The years of the war and the revolution were historically recorded times of this change.
These times had people who did not fight for liberty with weapons. Objective information was clearly detectable and openly or secretly inspired the activities of remarkable scientists, philosophers and innovators. The most special and authentic Hungarian representative of this movement was Wictor Charon (17th September 1907 – 22nd October 1976). His birth name was Viktor Scherbák, and his composer name was Galánthay Papír Viktor.
These were the times he created his enormous life-work which had to be kept in secret until now. We experience a growing demand that this legacy comes to light.
“Nowadays we are living in a world where material is adored. Masses of people are struggling and fighting to death for possessing more and more of it. People hardly have a moment to solve problems that can develop in periods of calm contemplation and introversion only. But suffering from rat race, workaholics painfully feel the presence of these final, threatening and hiding questions. Maintaining the physical existence takes up so much power in human beings’ threefold life that only the demonic ego of the individual is acting on the level of emotions, hesitating between the stereotyped extremes of love and hate.”
Wictor Charon
Who is it for…
It is calling out for “seekers” who are looking for sincere answers to their inner questions and cannot be fully satisfied with their affiliation.
For those who more and more consciously want to go on a pilgrimage of the evolution of their personality and conscience.
What is it about
The Charon Institute represents a way of looking at things, a perspective that does not adhere to dogmas, requirements and expectations.
Its main purpose is to bring the individual to a constructive self-awareness.
It satisfies a demand of high standards that is timeless, independent of time.
Considering our instruments and priorities, the perspective presented is a patch of colour on the palette of society that brings closer to understanding our mechanisms of working.

“The study of intensity is an undiscovered path of modern hermetics. The science still completely unknown will in the near future be the basics of all human appraisals. It will soon turn out that coordinates of Space and Time are insufficient determinants of finer contents in our Biological Existence. The forms of physical level have no other way to get out of the incredibly intense whirlpools that keep its material in motion, but to turn into their opposites or take a step up on the ladder of dimensions. This process results in growing old, degenerating, but this is what helps the three-fold man up towards sattwic heights.”
Wictor Charon
Looking for balance in a world so full of tension appears to be an automatically emerging possibility for redemption. The generation of the millennium grew out of old clichés and is forcing changes on our present society. Individuals’ efforts to understanding can be seen in everyday life. More and more people are putting energy into it, more and more people are getting to know it and consider it in their thoughts, souls and actions… What do we use this increased brain activity and this evident participation in existence for?
“It is not about a difference in standards but a difference in speed. We share an opinion on the greatest mysterious spirits. The miracle lies in acceleration. It is in nuclear physics, as well as in psychology. We believe that this the starting point when studying the third state of conscience, in other words, the state of awareness. The psychological ego that we call personality will undoubtedly disappear. However, we do not believe that this “personality” is the last virtue of a human being.”
Louis Pauwels – Jacques Bergier
What does multi-level thinking mean? Is it the intelligence of thoughts, logics or the study of intensity? We would like to introduce these topics to the public, describe the structures that have always made the individual and the society work. People have not realized yet how crucially important it would be to modify our way of thinking and become aware of more levels in our perspective. Our purpose can be to improve the quality of society which is supported by the EU as well.
A well-balanced person can equally see his or her short- and long-distance aims, too. And for us to really see life…
We have to face it, many of our solid ideas will collapse as long as we think along cause and result. When will we let our personality to sink into calmness, if our rushing society keeps telling us “Just don’t relax! Try to keep up the panic!”
Nowadays we can only survive things if we dare to experience them. Knowing these mechanisms makes considerable changes on combinations of habits and as a result of “observation”, the quality of action-reaction automatically improves. The importance of the role of observers is already known from quantum physics and the psychology of religions…Emotional-logical intelligence and that of thought are becoming more and more important as an influence in our tangible world. It determines how much burden we can take. Where can the borders of our personality be found? Pain, happiness, harmony… How do they work? How much can our desires be maintained? What do we call that? It is the way of thinking, instead of its object is what capable of drawing consequences. The way of thinking and the way we relate to our being here.
“We cannot solve our problems if we think the same way when we created them.”
Albert Einstein
“Every problem can be solved on an impersonal level only.”
C.G. Jung
If we do not regenerate reasons to suffer over and over again by rehabilitating and preventing results, we have the opportunity to change, modify our fate, because human existence is not, can not be in vain.
